Happy is an emotion. It is not permanent. Be comfortable with that. Happiness, like rage, comes and goes. With the wind.

Words only do so much to convey my appreciation for the vessels, spirits and minds of those who have championed me, made me feel seen and most importantly, heard.

It takes a community a village a chosen family to raise each of us individually.

Did we forget that we’re human?

In the weight of this world. It’s often easy to forget.

Women both carry and bear the burden of society on my backs, our hearts, our brains.

We retain even keel. Anchor the ships. Sail the stormy waters ahead.

To the folks who raise me up not to tear me down. To the folks who show up in more than mere words. 감사합니다. 

Remember, like you, I am only human.

The fruits of your labour are valued and seen and recognized by me.
