Always been a hands-on gal! Having parents that saved plastic bags in the bottom cupboard probably is what did it. Are my parents successful in ways they’ve defined? I absolutely think so. But their immigrant mentality inhibits them from seeing that sometimes. In their gorgeous home! #scarcitymindset. Anyways. I love doing my own hair, making accessories and my own drip! Always have. It’s allowed me to express myself within my financial means. And even if I can afford to spend my money on nicer luxury goods (I still do)… I like to have FUN!

• Necklace created with string thing from Paris & bits and bobs from #China

• Hat created from old 2000s (now vintage) t-shirt (very #GTL vibes) in partnership with Tarami on Dundas West in Toronto (great for formal menswear at great prices)

But if you can leave it to the experts, please do so! And pay them fairly and equitably in a way they think is their rate. Stop judging people for making bag. There’s enough to go around.

Shop local. Spend your money intentionally (only if you can).
